Supporting music therapists
Training, coaching and peer-to-peer support.
How we support the music therapists of today and tomorrow.
The Institute is the home and heart of the music therapy community. We are devoted to helping music therapists grow in their professional capacity, developing programs and supporting their initiatives to expand the scope of their services.
We offer training to help adapt practices to emerging needs, such as our workshops on transitioning to online services during COVID-19, which benefited music therapists across Canada. We organize workshops and activities to share experiences, connect with peers and participate in support groups.
We also offer opportunities to recent graduates to gain experience under the mentorship of experienced music therapists.
Do you have a project proposal?
We encourage our team members to submit proposals for new services.

Since I began working with the Institute, I benefited from great support, in particular with supervision, but also for the development of my technical abilities with the workshop that facilitated my transition towards online services. The team at the Institute shows a great listening and open-mind when discussing projects or particular needs. Thank you!
